Plentiful Water

• Mohawk Valley Water Authority has capacity to supply water needs for two Semiconductor facilities with projected requirements of 6 mgd.

Potable Water

• Water Treatment & Filtration Plant, built in 1992, has current capacity for 32 mgd.
• Total current consumption is 19.5 mgd.
• This leaves 12.5 mgd in available water.

Water System Infrastructure

• Hinckley & Marcy  Reservoirs.
• 16” & 24” transmission mains.
• Proposed 16” water main on Edic Road will be tapped on both transmission mains at Mulaney Road/Edic Road intersection.

Proposed Water Improvements:

• Off-site: Construction of 5,480 LF of 16” water main, metering and pressure reducing facilities along Edic Road.
  • Project completion is less than 12 months from start to finish.
• On-site (estimates):
  • Metering and backflow prevention vault
  • 12” water main 8,930 LF.
  • 8” water main 825 LF.
  • 350,000 gal. Storage tank
  • Fire Pump.
