    • Generally, moderately well drained to well drained characteristics.
  1. International Conference of Building Officials
  2. 1=minor seismic probability

Surface Water, Air and Climate

  • Surface Water:
    • Storm water runoff drains into the Mohawk River, approximately 1.25 miles south of the site.
  • Air Quality:
    • Air quality in Central New York meets all NYSDEC criteria.
  • Climate:
    • Average relative humidity of approximately 60%.
    • Average annual temperature is 47° F.
    • Average annual precipitation of 42”.
    • Prevailing wind is west to northwest.

Habitat and Species/Freshwater Wetlands

  • No endangered or threatened species identified.
  • No state regulated freshwater wetlands located on site.
  • Federal wetland delineation identifies approximately 33 acres of low quality wetlands.
    • Potential encroachment on federal wetlands is estimated at 9.64 acres based on M+W Zander conceptual site plan.
    • Currently working with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and NYS Department of Environmental Conservation on acceptable mitigation plan.
  • Wetland Mitigation measures:
    • Combination of wetland replacement, enhancement,  and/or protection.
    • Currently working with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Electromagnetic, Radio, Vibration and Noise Interference

  • EMI
    • Site capable of supporting buildings in an area with less than 0.10 mG background interference.
  • RF
    • All recorded field strengths characterized as “excellent” and less than SEMI E33-94 thresholds.
  • Vibration
    • Ambient amplitudes are “excellent” and meet the most stringent criteria of NIST-A (2.5 – 100 Hz).
  • Noise
    • Ambient noise will impose no constraints on building structures or processes within them.

Topography

  • Site slopes 3 to 5 percent from north to south, toward Mohawk River.
  • Site elevation:
    • Southern: USGS elevation of 500’.
    • Northern: USGS elevation of 600’.
